CONTRIBUTION OF THE WEEK

Sunday, February 10th 2008 @ 10:15 PM    post viewed 289 times

I had been at the jumping off place, where my life was appearing to be better off ending in order to eliminating the trauma of emotional and mental anguish which I was going through. I came dangerously close to taking action, but outside of myself, something came across that made me call someone and we talked for several hours and finally made it through and over the significant hurdles of self. I know what it feels like to have my head in the noose and have someone show up and challenge my decision. I will always be grateful for supportive friends. I know I must never let this crap beat me or win.

You said that you "came dangerously close to taking action, but outside of [yourself], something came across that made [you] call someone..." I am just wondering, respectfully of course, what that something was outside of yourself that came across you to call someone?

Was it something that you remember someone saying? Was it a smile, hello, or how are you that some one gave you passing by? Was it simply something from nature like the sun and its warm rays, or the chirping birds flocked in the sky, or the wind blowing all around you and on your face that helped you to not take action? Or was it something much more confrontational such as a friend or stranger talking and begging you that you need to get some professional help?

I have been in much anguish myself before, very much like your situation, and can't quite remember asit was awhile ago xactly what my muse was to pick up the phone and call for help. But I am very grateful that I did. It had been a long road leading me up to that point and a long road of recovery from that point of and I am still recovering in small ways thanks to many people. Truth is the people on this site, although in its infantcy, to me can be and I hope will be part of these many people I must thank. I wish you the best. And my line is open. Maybe we'll hear from you again. Thanks.
